On November 24, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced a trial expansion of the unilateral visa-free policy for the convenience of high-quality development and high-level opening-up for both Chinese and foreign personnel. China has decided to implement an unilateral visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from six countries: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia. From December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, individuals from these countries can enter China for business, tourism, family visits, or transit for up to 15 days without obtaining a visa.
